INTELSAT TOASTMASTERS VISION
The Intelsat Toastmasters Club is dedicated to helping its members refine and improve their leadership and communications skills. The club will create a friendly, supportive environment in which members can practice these skills in a structured format, and receive positive feedback to help guide their progress. The club is open to all employees of Intelsat Global Services and CIES, as well as other neighboring businesses, organizations, and individuals.
INTELSAT TOASTMASTERS OBJECTIVES
1. The club will promote its program within Intelsat Global Services and CIES. It will also reach out to the other companies with offices in the Intelsat building, and to other individuals and organizations in the surrounding neighborhood.
2. The club will offer a variety of programs designed to attract and retain members.
3. The club will encourage members to give frequent speeches and participate in meeting roles whenever possible, so that they may improve their skills and advance to recognized Toastmasters International achievement levels.
4. The club will have an ongoing membership recruitment program designed to attract at least five new members in the 2001-2002 year.
5. The club officers will lead by example. They will set firm goals within the Toastmasters International program, and work toward those goals.
